Not Just Another Mourning in America
As the embers fade on the briquettes from our holiday barbecues, I am curious how many know the answer to a question a good friend just posed. (I didn’t.)
“How many Americans have died in all of our wars?” Answer: 1,100,000 (1.1 million). I’m sure you join me in honoring and mourning each of those tragic American losses.
As this Memorial Day comes to a close, I wonder if you are willing to courageously look forward as well as backward in order to prevent that terrible number above from growing.
Please click “Like” below if you will stand with me in your words–and deeds–and be a peacemaker. If you do, you’ll be in good company.
“Blessed are the peacemakers . . . .” – Mathew 5:9
“But she [the United States] goes not abroad in search of monsters to destroy . . . . Her glory is not dominion, but liberty.” – John Quincy Adams
“It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliance with any portion of the foreign world.” – George Washington’s Farewell Address
Come home, America.
Peace,
Gary
